RIgorous Studies and Technical Assistance

ANALYTICA’s staff has provided guidance to research teams involved in all phases of an RCT: Design, OMB clearance, recruitment, implementation, analysis and reporting. ANALYTICA has provided technical leadership and assistance to research teams working on seven large-scale randomized trials in three regions and 12 states in the NCEE sponsored Regional Educational Laboratory (REL). ANALYTICA is a member of the Investing in Innovation (i3) Program Technical Assistance leadership team that provides technical assistance to i3 grantees.

What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) Reviews

ANALYTICA’s staff is comprised of WWC certified reviewers who routinely conduct WWC quick reviews and single-study reviews for the Department of Education. 

Conducting Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses

ANALYTICA’s staff has collaborated with The Campbell Collaboration Coordinating Group’s Co-Chairs to identify systematic review priorities and solicit systematic review topics. ANALYTICA staff has experience managing all stages of systematic reviews; orchestrating editorial meetings; organizing peer review processes; corresponding with systematic review teams; and edited final protocols and reviews.

 Research Registry Development

ANALYTICA’s staff is the lead developer of the i3 Registry of Methodological Resources.  This Registry will provide i3 grantees and evaluators with a centralized web-accessible and searchable source of citations to methodological resources that are consistent with IES standards and can be used to address or inform their efforts to produce well-designed and well-implemented studies.

 Writing Technical Papers and Reports

ANALYTICA’s staff has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. In 2006, Dr. Turner was the recipient of the Editor’s Award for his paper in the Contemporary Issues in Communication Science and Disorders. ANALYTICA staff has co-authored five peer-reviewed RCT reports, during the 2005 to 2011 REL program, including the first REL RCT report to be published under the program. ANALYTIC staff has developed several Educator Guides to REL RCT reports under the REL Southeast program and routinely author technical guidance document to assist grantees and evaluators.
